Unpaid pandemic leave reinserted into 6 Modern Awards

Unpaid pandemic leave remains available to eligible employees covered by 6 Awards from 15 July 2022 until 31 December 2022, following a recent decision by the Fair Work Commission.

Employees can access up to 2 weeks’ unpaid pandemic leave if they’re prevented from working because of COVID-19 and are covered by the following Modern Awards:

• Aged Care Award
• Ambulance and Patient Transport Industry Award
• Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Services Award
• Health Professionals and Support Services Award
• Supported Employment Services Award
• Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award.
